How to Maintain the Slide Phone

  • Posted on September 1, 2010 at 7:49 am

Nowadays, the connection between people is much closer than ever, and the communication is more frequent, so we can’t forget one tool in our daily life—mobile phone.

In the market, there are three main styles: bar phone, flip phone and slide phone. And the slide phone is the most popular. But, the slide phone is easier to be broken than the others. Then it comes a problem: How to maintain the slide phone?

The biggest problem is the winding displacement—it is a wire that connects the screen to the camera, keypad and the motherboard. The more we slide the phone, the more easily it is damaged, so we should reduce the times of sliding as much as possible. Beside above, some other tips we should also pay attention to.

Firstly, I should admit a leather cover is useful, it will decrease the times of the friction between some tough things and your phone.

Secondly, you should notice that there are some little gaps on your phone, sometimes things like water or dust can go into it and even can erode the Printed Circuit Board. When you have used the slide phone for a long time, you will need greater strength to open it. So you have to protect it more carefully in the ordinary day, keeping your slide phone clean is the most important.

Thirdly, notice that the way how you take it. One person has one way, some ways will make the phone easier to be broken. For instance, some of us have a habit that putting the phone in the trousers pocket, when we sit down we may open the phone inadvertently and our weight will crush the phone.

These are some tips for you to maintain your slide phone. Maybe the style of your phone is out of fashion, but it is still necessary for you to protect it. It is also a way to protect our environment. Let’s do it.

Rolex Ref 8171 Padellone Review

  • Posted on August 30, 2010 at 7:20 am

Every Rolex fan wants to own a Vintage Rolex such as a red sub. But not everyone can afford one and fulfill his dream especially when it comes to complicated Rolex. As we we know Rolex is not a complicated watch company. It did not make complicated watches in large quantity. And nowadays, the common “complicated” Rolex watches are just limited to some chronograph and day-date that in fact can not be called “complicated”.

However, Rolex did make some true complicated watches during 1940s and 1950s . For example, it created the Ref.4113 –a split-second chronograph in 1942. Totally, 12 pieces were created. And one of these pieces was sold in 2006 with a whopping price at $600,000, making the Ref.4113 the most expensive Rolex ever sold.

And in 1949, Rolex produced the Ref. 8171, Rolex produced 1,000 pieces the Ref. 8191 which was a triple date moon-phase watch crafted from stainless steel or yellow gold. Now, it has become a hot item for many vintage Rolex collectors. Here I would like to introduced one of the 8191. It is nicknamed Padellone.

This 8191 maintains the original dial and the snap-back case with the Rolex Coronet and serial number engraved into it. Considering most 8191 today have been replaced with relatively new dials or case back or even both, this one is quite rare and thus very precious. It was produced in a 38mm case, which means it’s roughly the same size as the new Rolex Explorer despite being 60 years old.  Also, the bright blue date ring looks nice, so does the original moonphase.

If you are looking for a truly rare and complicated Rolex, you can  not find a better one  than this original reference 8171 Padellone Moonphase. In another word, this watch is the king of vintage complicated Rolex Watch. And it surely deserve the attention from collectors.

I and My Lovely Wallet

  • Posted on August 24, 2010 at 9:12 am

I am going to share two stories with you about me and my wallet.

The first one is that how I got my present wallet. One year ago, I was shopping with my friend, without any intension to buy a wallet. We walked and walked. Out of the blue, something caught my eyes. It was a wallet, blue, lying elegantly in a shop. I stared fixedly at it through the clear glass set between us, unmovable. Obviously I loved it at the first sight, I wanted to get it! However, after thinking twice, I finally got down to the earth, knowing the fact that the wallet in my bag was still decent and I couldn’t afford such a new expensive one. So I left the shop reluctantly, head hung down. Guess what? Two weeks later, at my birthday party, I received the wallet as a gift from my friend, who went shopping with me that day. She remembered my affection for the wallet!

The second story is relative to a boy, to be exact, my boyfriend. One afternoon, we sat side by side on a sofa, eating biscuits. He opened the conversation” Remember the day we met in a book shop?” “Yes” I nodded. At that time, we just had heard of each other not to mention falling in love. Having swallowed the biscuits, he continued” When you paid for the book you had picked out, I saw your wallet. It was a simple kind, blue. You know, not so many girls use plain wallets. I’ve been thinking you are special. Yes, it turned out to be true” hearing his sweet words, I smiled shyly, looking deep into his eyes, so did he. At this very moment, no more words were needed.

A wallet which suits me has won me love, how fantastic!

Why Celebrities Go For Luxury Watches

  • Posted on April 9, 2010 at 2:18 am

Luxury watches are ranked at the top of the holiday presents in the realm of the rich and famous. It has become a common practice for the wealthy to present each other with luxury watch during any stage of their relationship even the first dating.
Obviously, spending a huge fortunate on a splendid watch to gift a new girlfriend or boyfriend is a common practice among celebrities in Hollywood. Ironically, it seems that celebrities are competing to see whose purchase is more expensive when rich people date other rich people. For instance, John Mayer seems to be the king of buying Rolex watches for his girlfriends, and if I’m not mistaken, the same Rolex. He bought both Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Aniston gold Rolex watches. Mayer gave Jessica Simpson a Rolex Datejust Jubilee Men’s Watch with an Oyster Bracelet. When he dated Jennifer (the entire relationship lasted only four months!) he gave her a Ladies Oyster Datejust with black face and pink hour markers. The one girlfriend who came previous to these two but who walked with nothing was Cameron Diaz.
As a matter of fact, a Rolex or any type of luxury watch is just a piece of cake for Cameron. However, she seems to have more fondness for Cartier watches. She has been seen wearing a Cartier Tank Louis, a Cartier Tank Chinoise, and a Cartier Roadster, among other vintage Cartier watches.
A great number of hot celebrities such as Aniston would never have to sell her luxury watch due to her great cash flow. Nonetheless, for stars like Jessica Simpson whose career is struggling, may want to think about parting with the Rolex from Mayer; she could probably get more for it being that Mayer gave it to her.
Rolex is always the first choice for celebrities even though other types of watches such as Omega, Cartier, Tag Heuer are usually bought and worn by celebrities.

Tips on Differentiating Authentic Gucci Watches

  • Posted on April 3, 2010 at 8:35 am

Most people might have heard about Gucci replica watches. How can you sport out whether the watch you are purchasing is authentic or not? In this write up, we will talk several tips that will be helpful in your purchasing an authentic watch.

A lot of watch dealers are tightening their sashes to provide many products for people all over the globe such as Gucci handbags, belts, sunglasses, etc.

But when it comes to the watches of the company, you need to act like a smart buyer. This is because it is very tricky to distinguish a replica watch of a brand like this from a real one. So, what all you need to check before buying a watch?

Engraved serial number

A branded watch usually comes with a specific serail number engraving on its backside. The serial number demonstrates whether the watch is real and branded. As a result, it is highly recommended that the serial number should be checked before going down into any negotiation.

Price

Let us put a thing in perspective. If a dealer is trying to sell you a 5000-dollar watch for 500 dollar, you must know that something is wrong in this case. The dealer is not doing any favor by selling you the product at a cheaper price. There is surely some matter to think about.

Authenticity papers

Almost all branded items, be it a watch, sneaker, sun glass or bag, comes with authenticity papers. You need to carefully look for small prints that say things like ‘Just like Gucci’ or ‘Inspired by Gucci’, if you want to avail the right thing. This means that a manufacturer is warning you through these fine prints that the product you are buying is not real or FAKE.

Bear it in mind that a replica watch will be slightly lighter than its real ones. The genuine counterparts come with Swiss movement and a crest logo on the back. One must beware of buying the fake stuff and look for proof purchase by identifying the serial numbers sales associate numbers in order to verify when and where was the watch purchased.

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Watches Distinguish You From The Crowd

  • Posted on March 31, 2010 at 6:12 am

First established in 1882 by Jules Audemars and Edward Piguet, Audemars Piguet has earned a reputable fame as trendsetter in the watchmaking industry when they debuted the world’s first minute repeater movement in a wristwatch in 1892. Nowadays, the brand has formed its solid position in the realm of luxury watches industry and produced a vast myriad of collectible watches.

The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak watch is a prominent and distinguishable timepiece, a stunning iconic piece of jewellery which infuses impeccable quality of construction with creative design. This watch has evolved to be an icon and it continues to charm the public.

Capturing the quintessential machinery of the watchmaking industry, Audemars Piguet debuted its first iconic sports watch. Featuring a self-winding mechanical movement with calendar function as well as stainless steel, the splendid timepiece is highly collectible for many avid connoisseurs.

The term “Royal Oak” comes from the hollowed tree in which King Charles II of England took refuge from his pursuers following the Battle of Worcester in 1651, but the name also became synonymous with the Royal Navy when a series of battle ships were named HMS Royal Oak. To complete the impression of a bold, sporty piece the bracelet was integrated, yet this contrasted with the classic almost delicate detailing of the exquisite guilloche dial. These features made for a distinctive but difficult to construct finished form.

The Royal Oak is definitely a modest timepiece – the wearer or on-looker will be in no doubt that this is an Audemars Piguet watch. Like so many modern day signature pieces this watch has gone far and beyond its marque and transcends the need for a logo or an introduction.
